GETTING HELP

Recognize when you need help and then ask for it, there are many resources available but remember....

Whatever form of help you require, whether it be advice, permission to work in the university on holidays, instruction on how to use a piece of equipment, to have a draft of your thesis read, etc., you should make your request prior to the last minute. It is unreasonable to expect help or sympathy if you leave a request until just before your personal deadline. Other people (meaning your Supervisor, Committee Members, the Coordinator, Susan Wiste, and the Technical staff) have their own commitments and deadlines and need lead time when they have to add your needs to their own "to do lists".

This site, Guidance for Student Projects also provides lots of good help.
