A bath in Not-Next-To #2
Five minutes later the problem was solved. Barlo felt very good. He said, "Elver, I’m ready for the second problem. What is it?"

Elver handed him the second problem.

Place the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, one in each empty square in a special way.

Each number cannot have a number next to it (one square away horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) that is one smaller or one bigger than it. For example, the 2 and the 3 cannot be next to each other but the 2 and the 4 can be.
Solution to problem #2
Barlo scratched his beard and frowned. But he wanted badly to soak his weary body in the hot springs so he started to think even harder this time. At long last he did it. Elver gave Barlo a furry towel and wished him happy bathing. Barlo jumped into the steaming water and sighed and sighed some more.
